Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on former U.S. President Donald Trump to disclose his strategic plan for quickly ending the conflict with Russia. In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Zelensky emphasized that any initiatives must comply with international law and respect Ukraine’s sovereignty.

“If Trump knows how to end this war, he should tell us about it today,” Zelensky stated. “If there are risks to our independence, if we might lose our statehood, we want to be prepared for it, we want to know.”

During the nearly hour-long interview, Zelensky expressed his frustration with delays in weapon supplies from Western allies and indicated that he is “potentially ready” to meet with Trump to discuss his team’s proposals.

“They cannot plan my life and the lives of our people and our children,” Zelensky stressed. “We want to understand whether we will have strong U.S. support in November or if we will be left entirely alone.”

Zelensky also expressed hopes for increased international cooperation to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine, where fighting continues with separatist forces backed by Russia.
