In the heart of Poland’s culinary capital, Warsaw, a significant meeting took place between the Ukrainian and Polish delegations, dedicated to addressing crucial matters of cooperation between the two nations. The main topics of discussion included the blockade at the Ukrainian-Polish border, joint production of ammunition, energy, and cultural issues.
During a press conference following the meeting, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal and former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that both sides had agreed to jointly control the border crossing points. This decision now awaits approval from the European Commission.
Regarding the border blockade, Tusk emphasized that Kyiv and Warsaw are close to finding a solution to the issues concerning agricultural imports.
„Ukraine and Poland are seeking solutions that may not fully satisfy everyone but will defend the fundamental interests of Polish farmers and producers, as well as Ukrainian ones. We are searching, and we are close to finding a solution,“ he said.
These pledges of cooperation and the pursuit of compromise solutions between Ukraine and Poland indicate an important step in the development of bilateral relations. It is expected that joint efforts will ensure stability and prosperity for both countries in the future.
