Ukraine and Germany have decided to pool their efforts in the defense sector, initiating a series of joint projects that could materialize in the coming days. According to Politico, a delegation led by the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs of Germany, Robert Habeck, is currently in Kiev.

One of the key participants in this delegation is the defense conglomerate Rheinmetall, which already has experience in cooperation with Ukraine regarding arms supplies. This time, it has announced plans to develop the country’s defense industry, including the construction of facilities for servicing light armored vehicles and the production of artillery ammunition.

To support this process, representatives from the company Diehl, which manufactures the IRIS-T air defense system, as well as FAE-Group and Quantum Systems, supplying demining machines and surveillance drones, have been invited.

This initiative combines the military capabilities of both countries and aims to strengthen Ukraine’s defense sector, which is relevant due to the war resulting from Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. It is worth noting that these steps will not only contribute to Ukraine’s security but also elevate the level of cooperation between Germany and Ukraine in the defense sphere to a new level.
