In a recent forum titled “Ukraine. 2024,” Andriy Yermak, the head of the President’s Office in Ukraine, unveiled a comprehensive plan under the Ukrainian Peace Formula. Emphasizing that each of the 10 points aligns with one or more United Nations resolutions, Yermak underscored the importance of adhering to the principles of international law.
During his address, he acknowledged the difficulty of opposing this plan, as doing so would imply a violation of the foundations of international law. Russia, in practice, consistently opposes this initiative within the United Nations.
Yermak also conceded that representatives from Russia may be invited to discuss the Ukrainian Peace Formula. This could occur following the first summit of Western leaders and the collective coordination of the action plan involving all nations for a subsequent meeting.
“In case the representatives of the aggressor country genuinely wish to halt this war and return to a just peace, this plan will be presented to them,” summarized the head of the President’s Office.
Yermak’s public unveiling of the plan marks a crucial stage in Ukraine’s strategy development to address the conflict and restore peace in the eastern part of the country. Monitoring the implementation of the peace formula will be an intriguing process, shaping the course of events and international relations in the region.
