Ukraine is considering the possibility of Russia’s participation in the international forum through a “grain agreement” format, similar to the successful negotiations under the Black Sea Grain Initiative. This was announced by the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.

“We have a very successful experience of negotiations under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, where Ukraine negotiated with Turkey, and the UN and Turkey negotiated with Russia,” explained the minister.

He also added that Kyiv is not seeking direct contacts with Russia, considering its crimes against Ukraine and Moscow’s strategic goal to undermine Ukrainian statehood.

Speaking about China’s absence at the World Summit, the minister noted that the likely reason for Beijing’s decision not to participate was the absence of Russia. However, he stated that China closely studies the summit’s outcomes and its impressive scale.

“I am confident that we will continue the dialogue with China on ending the war in Ukraine,” concluded the Foreign Minister.
