Ukrainian military continues to deploy new strategies in response to the escalating threat from Russia, which is actively modernizing its arsenal, particularly refining its aerial bombs. This was disclosed by the spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, Anna Gumenyuk.

According to her, conventional aerial bombs are being endowed with new capabilities through technological transformations, morphing into guided munitions equipped with “wings” to enhance maneuverability and precision. These innovative modifications enable the aerial bombs to cover distances of up to 60-70 kilometers, ensuring high effectiveness in striking targets at significant ranges.

Simultaneously, Gumenyuk noted that occupiers in Southern Ukraine are encountering difficulties in utilizing aviation and are avoiding approaching conflict zones, opting instead to employ missiles, including K-31, X-35, and X-59.

These updates in Russia’s arsenal pose new challenges for Ukraine’s defense and demand bolstering defense measures. Military experts emphasize the necessity for continuous monitoring and adaptation to changes in the enemy’s military strategy to ensure effective protection of national interests and territorial integrity.

Given the unpredictability of the situation in the country’s east, the implementation of strategic measures to enhance defense readiness remains one of Ukraine’s top priorities.
