The neo-Nazi group “Rusich,” openly participating in the conflict in Ukraine under the Russian Ministry of Defense, has made a chilling call for a ritual human sacrifice. According to a post on their official Telegram channel, the group is requesting that allied units provide them with a Ukrainian prisoner—preferably not a Slavic individual but someone “like a Crimean Tatar or similar”—for a sacrificial ritual during the autumn equinox to boost the morale of their new recruits.
This call for a human sacrifice is a stark demonstration of the brutality that characterizes the actions of these Russian militants. It highlights the severe moral degradation within the ranks of the aggressors, reflecting a disturbing level of inhumanity and savagery that is increasingly becoming normalized within their ranks.
This is not the first instance of such cruelty from the “Rusich” group. In March, one of the group’s fighters, Yevgeny Rasskazov, held an auction for a knife used to cut off the ear of a suspect involved in a terrorist act at “Krokus.” Such acts of violence and sadism are turning into a grotesque form of entertainment and commerce for these militants.
The support for such acts from within Russian society and by its leaders further underscores the moral decay at the heart of the Russian aggression. It confirms that Ukraine is defending itself not only against territorial encroachment but also against a force that has lost any sense of morality and humanity.
This situation further emphasizes that Ukraine’s struggle is not only a battle for its territorial integrity but also a fight against the barbarism and savagery that have overtaken certain segments of Russian society.
