Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Russia will be invited to the upcoming Peace Summit, scheduled for November. He announced this during a press conference and also revealed plans to meet with U.S. President Joe Biden this month to present his “plan for victory over Russia.”
Zelensky criticized international partners for their inadequate response to threats from Russia, noting that only Belarus has actively countered Russian “Shahed” drones so far. This highlights the need for more decisive actions from the global community to ensure the safety of Ukrainian territories.
Regarding the situation on the front lines, the President mentioned that before the start of the Kursk operation, the shortage of ammunition for Ukrainian forces in Donbas was 1 to 12 in favor of Russia. This ratio has now improved to 1 to 2.5, reflecting progress in supplying the Ukrainian military with essential resources.
The Kursk offensive has also thwarted Russia’s plans to create “buffer zones” stretching from the east to the north of Ukraine. This strategic achievement has been made possible due to effective actions by Ukrainian troops and the strengthening of defensive positions.
Zelensky also addressed the issue of Patriot air defense systems, confirming that Ukraine has more Patriot systems in service than officially reported. While the exact number is not disclosed, the President stated that these systems are still insufficient for complete protection. The shortage of missiles for these systems remains a problem, but the reality is somewhat better than the official reports.
