As the war continues, Ukraine remains resolute in defending its independence and territorial integrity. The Ukrainian military is actively conducting offensive operations in the eastern part of the country, particularly in the Kharkiv region. Alongside these battlefield actions, Ukraine’s cyber capabilities are being utilized to disrupt Russia’s military-industrial complex.

Advances by the 3rd Assault Brigade: Breakthrough in Kharkiv

The 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has launched a new phase of offensive operations in the Kharkiv region. According to a statement from the brigade, their counterattack has allowed them to seize control of a battalion defense area from the occupiers, capture several key enemy positions, and advance nearly two kilometers deeper into the frontline.

Deputy Commander of the 3rd Assault Brigade, Maxim Zhorin, provided details about the operation during a live broadcast on the program “Tema z Moseychuk”. He clarified that these offensive actions in Kharkiv are not related to parallel operations in the Kursk region. Zhorin emphasized that the operations have been ongoing for almost a week and were deliberately kept confidential until now to solidify the achieved results.

“These are offensive operations in the area of responsibility of the 3rd Assault Brigade towards Borova. They are successful, and we chose not to announce them earlier to secure the results. Today, these results are evident,” Zhorin commented.

He added that in the coming days, the brigade will be able to release more details about the operation and enemy casualties. However, he noted that the enemy still has significant reserves and continues to reinforce their positions.

“Enemy reserves have not been diverted from our direction. They remain in place and continue to arrive. We even thought there might be fewer reserves, but there are quite a lot. The enemy can afford to continue sending reinforcements in batches,” Zhorin said.

Cyber Attacks on Russian Targets: A Statement on Ukraine’s Independence Day

In parallel with the military advances, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (HUR) and Ukrainian cyber units conducted a significant cyber attack on Russia’s industrial infrastructure. According to a source in Ukrainian intelligence, on Ukraine’s Independence Day, Russian mobile and internet service providers, as well as information resources and cloud storage for major Russian industrial entities supporting the military-industrial complex, were targeted.

The attacks affected several major industrial facilities, including the “Chaika-Service” auto plant, which produces special equipment for Russian security forces, “Kontur-NIIRS,” which manufactures specialized aviation equipment, and “INEUM named after I.S. Bruk,” which supplies technical and software tools for Russian military applications.

Additionally, cloud and file storage systems of internet providers such as “Mail.ru,” “VDSina,” and “Kvidex,” among others, were also attacked. This included resources from companies involved in producing lighting equipment, diesel generators, hosting services, and ballistic protection systems.

These cyber operations send a powerful message, demonstrating that Ukraine is fighting not only on the battlefield but also in the cyber realm.

Conclusion and Future Perspectives

The ongoing offensive actions by the Ukrainian military in Kharkiv, combined with successful cyber attacks on Russian industrial targets, highlight Ukraine’s multi-faceted approach to warfare. Despite numerous challenges, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to deliver significant blows to the enemy, showcasing a high level of coordination and professionalism.
