She underlined that giving up NATO membership in exchange for so-called “security guarantees” would not be peace but a surrender to the Kremlin. “Appeasement has never worked,” Kallas added.

Zelensky also warned about the potential consequences of Russian aggression for Europe and the world. He stressed that if Russia continues its expansion, it could lead to a large-scale conflict that may also affect American citizens. “Americans will die,” the president said, highlighting the urgent need for a united international response.

The United Kingdom has reaffirmed its solidarity with Ukraine by announcing £4.5 billion in military aid through 2025. This decision was made during a meeting of the “Ramstein” contact group, where allies discussed further support for Ukraine.
Germany has also stepped up its efforts. Chancellor Olaf Scholz called on the Bundestag to recognize the war in Ukraine as an emergency, allowing for additional defense spending without compromising other national investments.
