Today, the city of Kharkiv is engulfed in a profound atmosphere of mourning as it bids farewell to three brave souls – Vladyslav Loginov, Serhiy Baydalinov, and Volodymyr Matyushenko. These exceptional individuals gave their lives battling a fire, rescuing others from the threat of flames following enemy rocket attacks on the peaceful homes of Kharkiv residents. Hundreds of people gathered to bid them farewell and express condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased.
Kharkiv has always been a grateful city that values courage and selflessness. Immersed in memories of the lost heroes, relatives, friends, and colleagues recalled the best moments of their lives and expressed deep sorrow at their loss. The enemy sought to kill as many civilians as possible and resorted to fascist methods to achieve this, but thanks to such individuals, many children, women, and elderly people have a chance to survive.
Today’s farewell ceremony has become a symbol of unity and solidarity among the residents. The roar of fire truck sirens echoed in the hearts of everyone present, reminding us of the unwavering commitment and bravery of those who are willing to defend others even at the cost of their own lives. While brave soldiers defend the country on the front lines, rescuers protect their families on the home front.
Although words cannot fully express the depth of the loss, as a community, we promise to remember their sacrifice and dedication. Their actions inspire us and remind us of the importance of selflessness and mutual aid in difficult times.
Kharkiv is currently reeling from the impact of their loss. But their souls remain with us, urging us to action and reminding us of the indomitable strength of the people in their struggle.
May they rest in peace, and may their heroic deeds never be forgotten.
