Another Attack on Civilians
Russian forces have once again attacked the civilian population of Ukraine, shelling the city of Volnyansk in the Zaporizhzhia region. This attack resulted in the deaths of six civilians and left eight others injured. Among the deceased are two children, highlighting the ruthlessness of the aggressor.

Damage to Infrastructure and Humanitarian Crisis
In addition to the human toll, crucial infrastructure, including shops and residential buildings, has been damaged. This further exacerbates the humanitarian crisis in the region, leaving people without basic necessities. The destruction of infrastructure jeopardizes the survival of the population, increasing the need for humanitarian aid.

Rising Number of Injured
Currently, the number of injured as a result of this shelling has risen to 31 people. Medical facilities are doing everything possible to assist the victims, but the situation remains tense. Doctors are working under extremely difficult conditions, striving to save lives and restore health to the injured.
The Horrors of War: Human Suffering
Civilians are becoming targets for Russian bombs, their homes turned to rubble, and their dreams to ashes. The war claims the lives of not only soldiers but also children, the elderly, and women. It tears families apart, severs familial bonds, and forces people to seek refuge in foreign lands. The horrors of war encompass not only physical suffering but also deep emotional trauma that can last a lifetime. It involves fear, despair, a sense of hopelessness, and a loss of faith in humanity.

Russian Aggression and Its Consequences
Under Putin’s leadership, Russian society has begun the extermination of Ukrainians under the guise of flimsy pretexts. Attacks like those in Volnyansk have unfortunately become routine throughout Ukraine. The war brings death, chaos, and destruction, leaving deep scars on the body of the Ukrainian nation.
Specific Attacks on Children During the War
Data from the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine indicates the particular cruelty of combat actions against children. During the military aggression, 551 children have died, and over 1,400 have been injured. The most affected are the young ones in frontline areas: Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk. This shows that children are among the most vulnerable victims of this war.

Russia’s Preparation for a New Offensive
The situation in eastern Ukraine is worsening due to the maneuvers of the Russian Federation, which, according to The Economist, is preparing for new significant military offensives. Such preparations only confirm the seriousness of the threat and the need for an international response to crimes against humanity.

Conclusion
This attack on Volnyansk is just one of numerous cases of aggression causing harm to the civilian population and infrastructure of Ukraine. It underscores the necessity for an international response to crimes against humanity. Ukraine needs the support of the global community to overcome this crisis and restore peace. Unfortunately, despite Russia violating all international obligations, such as the “Budapest Memorandum” and the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, and many others, there are countries that continue to support this criminal state. For example, China, which has always verbally declared its support for international law, but as its actions show, it does not intend to adhere to these declarations and is arming Russia to continue destroying Ukrainians.
