Russia Continues Terror: Attacks on Civilian Targets and Critical Infrastructure

Russia’s aggression against Ukraine shows no signs of stopping. Occupying forces continue to strike civilian facilities and key enterprises, resulting in the deaths of innocent people and widespread destruction. Alongside attacks on Ukrainian territory, there has been a surge in explosions and fires at strategic sites within Russia itself. This points to growing internal instability and a weakening of the aggressor country’s military-industrial complex.

Russia Targets Peaceful Ukrainian Cities: Civilian Casualties Mount

One of the latest attacks was a missile strike on a food processing plant in Mykolaiv. The Russian assault killed two women, aged 54 and 56. The explosion partially destroyed the production facility and damaged the administrative building. This attack once again confirms that Russia is deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure, violating international humanitarian law.

In recent weeks, numerous strikes have also been reported in residential areas of Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. The Russian army continues its tactics of terror, aimed at demoralizing the civilian population and destroying critical infrastructure.

Explosions at Strategic Sites in Russia: What We Know

Alongside its attacks on Ukraine, Russia itself is experiencing a wave of powerful explosions and fires at critical facilities. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, one of the country’s largest oil refineries, the Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez plant in the city of Kstovo, was attacked. Witnesses reported three massive explosions that triggered a large-scale fire. Russian authorities claim the refinery was targeted by drones, with all four drones hitting their marks. The plant processes over 15 million tons of oil annually, accounting for 5.8% of Russia’s total oil refining capacity. Damage to the facility could significantly disrupt fuel supplies for Russian military equipment.

In the Tver region, another drone attack targeted military infrastructure. Explosions were reported in the Toropets district, where a fuel depot and ammunition storage site are located. This suggests that the Kremlin’s strategic facilities are becoming increasingly vulnerable.

British Intelligence Releases Satellite Images of Strikes on Russian Military Sites

According to British intelligence, attacks on Russian infrastructure are having a significant impact on the combat readiness of its military. In particular, extensive damage has been confirmed at the “Kombinat Kristall” fuel depot in the city of Engels, which supplied a military airfield. The first strike on January 8 caused a massive fire that took several days to extinguish. A second strike on January 14 destroyed four fuel tanks and damaged ten more. Such attacks are undermining the logistical capabilities of Russian forces.

Alarm in Rostov-on-Don: Explosions and Air Defense Activity

Rostov-on-Don, a key hub for supplying Russian military units in the south, has once again come under attack. Local residents reported explosions in the city, with air defense systems activated and air raid sirens sounding. These incidents demonstrate that even Russia’s rear regions are no longer safe.

Russia’s War Comes Full Circle

Systematic attacks on civilian and military facilities in Russia are raising doubts about the Kremlin’s ability to maintain control within the country. Russia started the war against Ukraine, but now it is facing the consequences: explosions at strategic sites, destabilization of its regions, and growing public discontent.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue their fight for freedom and independence. Successful strikes on the aggressor’s military infrastructure are forcing the Kremlin to rethink its plans and divert more resources to defending its own territory.
