The shortened agenda does not diminish the importance of the topics to be discussed, particularly the ongoing military assistance to Ukraine. Germany recently announced a new support package for Kyiv, which Chancellor Scholz unveiled during a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, a comprehensive “Ramstein” meeting, where decisions on further military support for Ukraine are made, will not take place this time.
According to ZDF, new decisions regarding assistance to Ukraine and its allies will be made after the U.S. presidential elections. This indicates that the international community will closely monitor how political changes in Washington will impact the dynamics of support for Ukraine.
