Recent accusations about Serhiy Prytula allegedly purchasing three new apartments in Kyiv during the full-scale war have stirred significant public interest. The well-known volunteer and public figure addressed these allegations during an appearance on the show “Tema z Moseichuk,” dismissing them as “fabrication” and estimating the cost of the smear campaign against him.

According to Prytula, an article suddenly appeared in one publication claiming that his family bought three apartments in Kyiv during the war, and it quickly spread. “We roughly calculated how much it would cost to place such a fabrication on channels with millions of subscribers. Someone spent at least $20,000 in a few hours to spread this ‘nonsense’,” he said in his conversation with Nataliya Moseichuk.

Prytula also hinted that he has suspicions about who might be behind this misinformation. “Some people even contacted me in a hurry to say it wasn’t them. I’m grateful to them. And, let’s just say, it’s definitely not from Russia,” he added.

The volunteer shared documents proving that the property was actually purchased in the fall of 2020, long before the full-scale war began. However, even after this, the information attack did not stop. “Under the post where I shared the documents, and people thankfully spread them, there was a new wave: ‘show the payment stages!’ And you think, come on!” Prytula recounted.

This situation underscores the importance of verifying information and being cautious with news in the context of an information war. The high level of manipulation and fake news requires citizens to think critically and analyze their information sources.
